HFMI Is Now Part of Eurocode 3

With the publication of DIN EN 1993-1-9:2026-10, an important milestone has been reached for the application of HFMI technology. For the first time, the new European standard for the fatigue design of steel structures explicitly covers HFMI-treated welded joints.

This provides a technology that has been scientifically studied and used in industry for many years with an important additional basis for its consideration in standards-compliant fatigue design.

The regulatory implementation of the new generation of Eurocodes in Germany is currently still in transition.
