At PITEC, we continuously work on advancing our automation solutions and implementing PIT (Pneumatic Impact Treatment) in automated applications.
In a joint project with the Welding and Joining Institute at RWTH Aachen University, PIT was implemented using a robot. A component with a complex weld geometry was treated as part of the project.
The video shows the automated application of PIT using a robot and provides an insight into its implementation on the component.
