IIW: New Recommendations for HFMI

Expanded Opportunities for Design and Maintenance

What the Second Edition of the IIW Recommendations Adds

The second edition of the IIW Recommendations on HFMI Treatment incorporates new research findings and practical experience gained since the first edition was published in 2016.

This makes HFMI increasingly relevant not only for lightweight design, but particularly for extending the service life of existing steel structures. The second edition provides an expanded technical basis for the targeted and quality-assured application of HFMI.

Key Updates at a Glance
